The comment of Napoleon going from â€Å"victory to victory† and the claim that his fate was â€Å"more brilliant than the world has ever seen or is likely to see after him† shows that Goethe is blinded. Napoleon has lost a number of battles and the end of his reign was far from brilliant. In conclusion, Goethe idolizes Napoleon on a completely different level.
